How can you say that? People who wear clothes that fit and look good! They don't even straighten their hair or cut themselves in a way which they know won't kill them, just get them attention!

The world is all about looks. For example, if somebody looks "shabby", they aren't going to get a decent job. If somebody looks smart and clever, they're more likely to get a decent job. How you present yourself means everything. You can say "qualifications mean more", but say somebody has decent qualifications, but goes to the job interveiw in jeans and a shirt, or trackies, then somebody with the same qualifications goes in wearing a suit, they're more likely to get the job, see what I'm saying? If you're in a club, and you see somebody who looks good, and someone who doesn't, who're you going to try and pick up? All this stuff about "looks aren't everything" is true to an extent, but only to an extent.

Everyone is normal but just have different ways of expressing their looks. If they feel comfortable in how they dress then good for them. Aslong as they are happy, they should be accepted as normal people as they should be.

Ok, normal is what is accepted by society as a whole, normal is conforming. Normal is what doesn't stray out of the accepted norms and values of society. "Normal" is somebody who can't really be labelled. Anybody who can be labelled has strayed out of normality and is a deviant (Chavs, emos, goths, moshers etc.). Although political correctness prevents us from saying any of this, of course
