As posted in this thread here: http://www.habboxforum.com/showthrea...38#post2125938

The same thing seems to be happening on the UK hotel.

Habbo uk is apparently getting 'owned' by [MoD] (Lol?)

hundreds of them started flooding the Library.

They tell you a site, you install there program. And it sends more bots into it.

They must be bots though. It's impossible to have loads of clones open, leave at the exact same time.

    Thanks for the news

I don't see why they would waste there time doing it either myself undertaken, Seems pretty usless and what will the gain out of it?

Its like buying a bubble gum lolly pop when the lolly pop has gone and you find no bubble gum inside, i bet thats what it must feel like.

    Anyways back to the topic

They have developed a program that will create many habbo accounts continually without stop. This is an automatic tools which will basically flood your database with Habbo signups, all 48 members will run this at the same time. This will cripple your database. There are 2 methods of preventing this attack :

Limit the amount of registers per IP to a certain timescale. For example, a habbo can not create another account for half an hour. Another idea would be to create a visual validation check which a BOT is unable to bypass.

As with the attacks above, its simply a case of improving your security and possibly me warning you when these attacks will take place. They are looking to affect Habbo's service and will continue to attack untill Habbo is offline, which I find utterly disgusting and pathetic and am more than willing to support Habbo/Sulake in any way possible.

I look forward to your reply,

    Kind Regards,

    James
Sent that email to Sulake (Justine and Johno) back in October 2005.. Shows they give a damn eh?
