Although the page doesn't give any indication (aside from giving the closure date) that the applications are now closed, yeah; I gather you're right. What I am unsure of is whether any emails sent after the deadline will just get "bounced", or whether they will only read applications sent with a datestamp on or before the 22nd.
Anyway, good luck to all those who applied! It'll be nice to see the next batch out and about. ;o
