It's normally deemed unconventional for girls to do the asking, simply because it's the guy who should do the courting and chasing

In Scotland you'd find it's the guys, mostly if it isn't immature children they won't be asked to go out first, it'd be asking for a snog first, then they might go out.

Flirting is normally how girls hint, barely any do the askin' as most would say it's very urm ****** of a girl to ask?
