Economic theory states that as demand rises, the price will increase also (if the supply remains the same).
Thus, the Samovar is not getting more valuable. It enjoyed a small rise in price and this combined with rumours of the Samovar being a Super Rare have caused people to buy them up (increasing demand) and stockpile them (decreasing supply). This is why the price is increasing; as soon as the price hits a certain high and everybody decides the sell their Samovars, the market will be flooded and price will decrease again. It is virtually impossible that such a high could be sustainable unless everybody withholds their Samovars.
The same explanation can be lent to the Holoboy, but attention is currently on the Samovar. As the Holoboy is virtually the same, intrinsically, to the Russian Samovar, I would advise anybody to buy them up now before it takes to the skies like the Samovar.
And know to quit while you're ahead.
