Mine is 2 years old,I think i got it the day it came out... the fan in mine is suprisingly still working but it only works for like 3 hours then jams

you can buy something for your xbox for 60 quid apparently which stops you having problems with the fan? im sure i heard that somewhere :s

Are you getting the red lights? If so which ones, If you have no red lights on the console its the disc not the console

I've only had it since november, i brought it back to argos today and they said they cant do anything i need to phone xbox >< *Which i did and they're going to fix it lol*

No red lights, i've tried playing several different games and a dvd and still get "unplayable disc"

It will take up to 15 days before i get it back :eusa_wall

Ye i'm afraid it's knackered, this happened to mine (second console), if you're still under warranty, they'll replace it for you, their customer service is superb.
