    Default [Portfolio] Looking for ideas

    I am planning on finally creating my portfolio tomorrow, but I need some ideas and inspiration, to try to make it exactly what my prospective clients would want. After all, the only point of portfolio is to help your customers

    Do you know of any sites that I could use inspiration for a portfolio layout? Got any ideas of things that should be included? I plan to make it look as great as possible, and use Javascript make the flow better than the average site.

    I think a fixed position div with navigation in (eg at the top) using code something like this:

    Code:
    #pageNavigation {
    	background-image: url('navigation.png');
    	background-position: center center;
    	background-repeat: repeat-x;
    	position: fixed;
    	width: 100%;
    	height: 120px;
    	margin: 0px;
    	padding: 0px;
    	}

    Well in my view this is what should be on a web based portfolio for some one in web design;

    Small blog
    A gallery
    Scripts area

    And then any other tools, downloads or links you find handly.

    My portfolio is full of stuff what I use and need, I don't really care if other people use it or not, it's for me and to help me. It's also a lot easyer to view the work I've done my self to check up on things by looking through my portfolio instead of going through folder after folder on my PC to find somthing whats on my desktop.

    The only bad thing about a web based portfolio is thats it is normal at the bottom of your to do list and you don't really update it nearly as much as you would like to.

    That site dosnt look web2.0 at all? Web 2.0 sites classically are highly minimalistic and usually stick to useing lighter colour's., with attention payed to how well thay complement each other.

    Thats an dark layout covered in a green and white which conflict horribly with it which conflicts horribly with along with a few poorly aligned content arias and unsymmetrical spaces.

    Things like DIGG or GMAIL are better examples of web2.0
