Dit voorwoord is misschien niet voor iedereen van toepassing, maar toch de moeite van het lezen waard (al zeg ik het zelf).

Het kopiëren van iets dat door iemand anders is bedacht en gemaakt is verboden. Zo is het illegaal om een cd met muziek te kopiëren, mag je geen films downloaden zonder er de maker voor te betalen en mag je geen bruin suikerwater in mekaar sleutelen onder de naam Coca-Cola als je niet bij dat bedrijf werkt!

Er zijn een aantal websites in de lucht die eruitzien als Habbo, maar die niet door Habbo op het internet gezet zijn. Alleen de sites Habbo ~ Habbo en Habbo ~ Habbo zijn officiële Nederlandse Habbo Hotels, waar wij je kunnen garanderen dat je er geen schadelijke bestanden kunt oplopen, dat we er voor je zijn en dat je altijd krijgt waarvoor je betaald hebt. Dat hebben we belooft in de Algemene Voorwaarden toen jij je Habbo hebt aangemaakt.

Maar het waardeloze is... we krijgen steeds meer klachten en vragen van Habbo's die accounts hebben aangemaakt op nephotels, die geld hebben uitgegeven aan software om zelf een hotel te maken en die vervolgens bestolen zijn of andere narigheid zijn tegengekomen. Maar ook vragen van ouders *** het zit met de Credits die hun kinderen hebben gekocht op zo'n ander site, terwijl die ouders ervan uitgaan dat het Habbo Nederland is.

Houd er rekening mee dat kloonhotels schadelijke software op je computer kunnen installeren, dat wij geen garantie kunnen geven op de veiligheid van gebruikers die ook kloonhotels bezoeken en dat de kloonhotels die wij kunnen achterhalen strafbaar zijn, gesloten worden en uiteindelijk kunnen worden aangegeven wegens auteursrechtinbreuk. En dat accounts van personen die een kloonhotel runnen permanent uit het officiële Hotel kunnen worden verbannen.

i have a retro. only due to the fact that habbo takes like a year to release things T.T

It's illegal whatever you do because you're making unapproved use of the Habbo DCR's. You could quite possibly be prosecuted under the Digital Milennium Copyright Act too for reverse engineering.
