Neville, I think he's one of the more solid defenders of recent times. United's defence as a whole is pretty solid.

years ago - gary neville, now - carragher.

nevilles past his best and he runs about as fast a tortoise up and down the line now and hardly ever puts a good ball in, but he is still solid

Gary neville is the most underrated player (other than heinze) in the premiership imo. He okay is slow and ill admit that but he makes up with strong tackles and good tactics. He also makes am good captain with years of experience. However carragher is also pretty good but i think neville just takes it. IMO cole should be out and put carragher there. Since his move he has been very very poor
