Default vBulletin - worth the money?

I'm looking on getting a vBulletin license tomorrow, do you think it is worthit? I am looking to market the forum ALOT to get more and more hits/members. I'm wanting the £53 deal on it which is a leased license for a year. Should I buy it?

Depends if you feel you can get it back in either VIP (mainly for fansites), services, advertisments or donations.

Need a domain but dont have paypal... not to worry. You can purchase a domain via text or home phone at XeoDomains.mobi.

It depends on how many users you are expecting.

if its under a hundred not really. however if its established on another forum software, yes.

Its like Habbox started off with phpBB before moving to vBulletin.

If your starting from scratch i wouldnat say it's advisable! I would start with a free forum then expand from that.

Only get vbulletin if you have a big community, if not use MyBB which has same features.

I say get IPB, more advanced and has had most of the features off of vB for a few years before it, like Quick Reply in threads, Subscriptions. The Admin CP is a bit more advanced I believe now aswell, considering 2.3 came out last month.

Not to mention the member profiles are alot more advanced, you can rate a member, view their posts, topics and make comments on the members profile.

No, I'd say start with PHPbb, then go to VB owned, due to the fact if you don't have a susessfull comunity, you can always sell it
