Well thing is, Im 14 on 25th Oct

And ive wanted a Laptop all year, My mum suggested i could have one at the beginning of the year, and since ive been in trouble with the police for thieving sweets she now says i cannot have one, but if im good i can have onw for xmas, but i DONT want too wait tht long for one, and tbh, i have everthing i need allready a laptop would just complete it all. How can i make her get me one?


Sorry if you think im arrogant, or selfish, but i want this laptop so bad i could kill myself.

Help on how i can get one in such little time, + rep

PS. at the moment, im acting as if im depressed and not talking to my parents because they wont get me one. will this help them get me one?

Or just ask for money and buy it yourself.

When you send your sorry for sounding arrogant or whatever - to be honest you really are...

Why should your parents spend a large amount of their hard earned money on something for you when your out getting yourself into bother which also effects them? Maybe if you did some stuff to earn it and actually be appreciated then you wouldn't even be in this and would have gotten it no problem.

Think of it this way... Say it was your £500 or whatever and you had planned on buying your child something. Think then, they then let you down and disappoint you greatly... do you reward your child for doing so by giving them hat they want or make them learn the hard way and not?

I think it's obvious your parents are simply using the laptop here to make it clear to you the consequences of your actions in future - and I completely agree with what they are doing and hope they hold out on it.

The fact you say you would "kill yourself for the laptop" isn't very promising to begin with. I think you really do not appreciate the important things in life and if you honestly, hand-on-heart, believe that killing yourself just because you do not get your own way is going to achieve anything - then you really aren't going to get far in life.

I think you need to just come to terms with the fact you are rightfully being punished for something you done wrong and get over it. Rather than sulking about it and ultimately make the situation worse, try and help out more and keep yourself out of bother. If you start acting a bit more maturely and responsibly I'm sure your parents will recognise that and reward it.

I think you really should just keep good and behave and you'll then have the laptop in a couple of months, rather than acting up again and effectively having to wait even longer.
