    Default vB help.

    Mhm.

Im thinking about getting a vBulletin forum. I start coding a website then completely loose intrest, lol, so at the moment my hosting account and domain are completely worthless... I dont use 'em.

I have 2GB storage and 10GB bandwidth a month, is this enough to run a vBulletin forum of average size? I doubt it'll become as popular as a forum such as this though.

And, whats better, buying an owned license or just getting one for a year?

    Thanks
    Jordan

10GB should be enough if its just a small community and not a huge community.

And depends, if you know your going to use the license for 5+ years approx your aswell as getting owned, but personally i'd get a year because if i wasnt interested after a year i could always let it go, btu with owned you can sell so, i'd still got with leased for the first year

I dont suspect it'll become too big, lol.

Hmm, I dont really wanna buy an owned one then realise I'm bored with it after a year/nobody has signed up or is active enough... so I guess I'll probably get a leased one, then if it doesnt take off I just wont renew it

Yeh thats what i'd be stuck with, because if you wever went off it you can sell the owned one but your not allowed to sell the leased one

I'd get a leased personally. Ideas like that have an uncanny habit of fizzing into nothing after a month or two. Play it safe
