Right , alot of should I buy a 360 or a Wii or a Ps3 threads have been coming up recently and tbh we should just have one that people can refer to and others can add their own opinions to.
360
The 360 is my prefered console , it is the 2nd cheapest out of all three and delivers the highest standard of games. It currently comes with a core , premium and elite style which basically means
No hard drive
20gb Hard drive
120gb Hard drive
Xbox live is thrown around alot , it is the online playing function for Xbox 360. Most of its games have playable content online but you will need a 40 pound xbox live gold subscription and a hard drive to play it.
PS3
The PS3 is the newest console to the market out of these three and offers many advantages. It comes with a huge 60gb hard drive which can be used very effectively. It has built in WiFi which is FREE thus you can access online games for free. It also has "Home" which is a revolutionary new feature which has 3D avatars roaming , talking and sharing music. It also features Six Axis function which basically means if you tilt your controller something will happen on screen. Another great advantage with this is that it comes with "Blue ray". Sonys answer to HD , it offers amazing quality films and images on the PS3 and the great thing is you don't have to buy anything extra as it's built in.
Wii
As most people on our forum have said the Wii is for the less "Hardcore gamers" which in my opinion is utter nonsense. It's the cheapest and argubally the most fun out of all three consoles. It has a wireless controller where if you move it your character/weapon/something else will move on screen thus adding masses of fun. It comes with Wii sports which is a great way to have fun , it also is great for playing with others. A perhaps disadvantage is that many of the users have been complaining the "novelty wears off" after a while.
