Screen capture software

Right then basically what I want is a free video screen capture software that can record only a section of the screen. I tried using FRAPS buy can only do full screen capture. Any help and support will be help (+rep)

Try Googling that, I hear Camtasia is okay but it lags your computer like a sod. There's better ones out there.
