Colmc's clip show?

Hello all!

Sometimes, TV shows, when they run out of ideas for new episodes, put together a "clip show", compiled off bits from old episodes stuck together to make a "new" one. Well, although I've been too busy this week to write up much of a blog, I'll spare you the clip show. Honesty, after all, is the best policy!

Habboween has been and gone! What a spooky time is was too - and to make it even better, we had a fantastic visit from Bullet for My Valentine! It looked like a lot of people were really having a fantastic time chatting to the guys, and everyone at Habbo was delighted to have them! Did you enter one of the Habboween related competitions? If so, check out the list here to see if you've won anything.

OK, I have to run. Lots to do, changes to be made. Now where did I leave my paint bucket?

0rca's Whale of a Week

This is going to be a very short blog from me today as I am still a little swamped. The good news however is myself and colmc have been working like good little worker bees and have most of the backlog cleared. Wooo! So we should be back to 24-48 hour replies very soon.

During my breaks this week, (I am actually supposed to get off the pc on a break, so don’t tell anyone) I have been working on a group that is very important in my humble opinion. It is a group for Remembrance Day. This is a day that we remember all the men and women who were in the two World Wars and to remember all those who have fought since in the other wars we have including the one at present over in Iraq. The day is also known as poppy day, and poppies are bought and worn to remember everyone. On my group I have added little notes about the day and have had some input from other Habbos too. If you want a well known fact about Remembrance Day up on the group, email it to me and I will be happy to add it for you.

Remembrance Day is on November 11th, it is traditional to have a 2 minutes silence on this day at 11am. So turn off your TV, music, Trax machine and sit and be still. Two minutes won’t hurt, because remember if it wasn’t for these people, you probably wouldn’t have the lives you have now! ardl has designed us a wonderful poppy badge, so get joining my group and wear that poppy with pride!

Akela’s Week

Now here’s a surprise! A blog from your favourite wolf lady! What can I say? Except it’s been hectic in PS land lately so if you want to blame anyone for my bloglessness then blame colmc and 0rca for daring to take a holiday and leaving poor little Akela! slaving away on her lonesome. Can I hear violins? Now that you are all feeling suitably sorry for me…on with the blog!

I hope you all had a fantastic Habboween. It was particularly good this year, new Habboween furni and so many events and competitions. While I’m on the subject of competitions, two quick things I have to say. Please always be patient and wait for prizes and badges, if you win or qualify the goodies will always arrive. The lovely Mods tell me that a lot of you call for help sometimes the very second the events finish demanding your badges or prizes, I have seen some PS mail too about this, so my word of the week is PATIENCE! *Starts to sing Take That!*

Second thing is I want to give a special prize to a Habbo who didn’t win the Habboween Alt Competition but sent in a lovely entry about yours truly. The title was “Akela!'s Fantasy Come True (Wolf-Woman)”.

One Habboween night the moon turned full and Akela! began to change. This was the result...

Well the year has simply flown by and here we are in November. The next things on the calendar are Bonfire night on the 5th. Please be very careful indeed and enjoy it but don’t get hurt. Also, if you are having a bonfire of your own, before it gets lit ask someone to have a poke underneath it first to make sure there are no hibernating hedgehogs!

Sunday 11th is Remembrance Day. Now you SHOULD all know what that is but if you don’t then please go and look at 0rca’s Group. Have a good read and then make sure that at 11 am on the 11th you stay silent for 2 minutes. You can also buy a poppy from all the wonderful volunteers who represent the Royal British Legion and wear it with pride, or join 0rca’s group and wear a poppy badge in Habbo. If the group gets full how about making one of your own and create a poppy. If you do that how about you send the group name in to [email protected] with the subject line “Akela’s Remembrance competition”, and I will take a look at the entries. I will join the best one and send it's owner a trophy.
