    Default Online Role Playing

Anyone do it as a hobby? I used too, mainly based around harry potter but i decided to quit most sites as they became overrun by "Perfect" blonds who were just looking for a "good time". I was just curios seen as i might steal a few site ideas from you! muwhahah!

The way I look at it..

People who join these online role playing communities are typically teenagers who want to be or do something that is beyond the boundaries of their day to day life.

Grand Theft Auto online, is an example of this; using the game as a way of becoming a drug dealer, a police officer, or maybe just a way of becoming somebody else.

Online role playing communities act as a way of going beyond life's limits, which is why it attracts so many people of the social networking community as well as acting as a way to meet new people as with most online networks.

    And so they should!

I find that boring lol, cos I end up getting bored then just killing them and getting banned, ie: Chillpoint server.

But yeah I play GTA SA-MP and some of them RP, lol.

Do you mean written roleplays? Such as between you and a small group of people?

If so, I'm a big roleplayer. My main area is Harry Potter roleplaying (basically because it's where I started.) I'm an "advanced literate" roleplayer. My "posts" are usually three paragraphs +, although, in one roleplay, it was 3 MS word pages.

    . . .

    Yeah.

    XD.
I usually only do "one on one" roleplays (just two people.) It's a lot easier because you don't have to wait as long for your turn (assuming you go turn based,) and no one is excluded.
Mary-Sues are a big pet peeve of mine. Mary Sues are those perfect characters. Beautiful, incredibly skilled, rare, etc. You can't have a bunch of beautiful blondes who can perform wandless magic, are werewolves, and can spread wings running around the campus.
