I can't remember for the life of me how to do this;



How do I make the top of the text lighter without touching the stroke. For the people who want to say "Google it!", I already have.

Try making a shape on a new layer, colour it white, turn the Opacity to like 20% and position it over the text.

No, that isn't it. I remember I watched a video tutorial on this.

Don't you use the ellipse tool, make it white, then just set the transparency to about 20% ?

I made that and bascically I got the flag shape put it over the top -> right clicked -> make selection -> filled in white -> turned down the opacity.

Or if you like, you use the pen tool, make one point then make another point then distort the two points (making the line 'wavey') then lower the opacity.

Relatively simple.
