I wouldn't say there sick, it's just what he/she/they believe. I personally don't believe that the world is going to end on 21st December 2012, but at least they've tried to back it up with more facts then other omg we are going to die in *insert date* things. Such as the Mayan calendar predicting the world would end Dec. 21, 2012, and they site Nostradamus as a source, however I'm always little sceptical when people use him as a source as you can twist his texts to reflect present things such as 9/11 and be like oh he predicted it! when it clearly isnt about that.
