    Default Careers ;s

    I guess I'd count myself lucky here, because a lot of my friends have no idea/strong ambitions about what career they want to go into..

    I actually have two careers that I want to go into - and I can't choose between them..
    (I'm only 15, but I really feel that I need to start worrying about it)

    I want to go into airline piloting and structural engineering (aerospace engineering doesn't really interest me, so I can't combine them, lol)

    They both really interest me, I doubt there's a way of doing both..
    which one is probably more worthwhile?
    I hear there's little demand for pilots at the moment, and it's extremely expensive to get into seeing that you have to pay for your own training and most airlines now want you to get a 4 year degree... (Which I want to do, but combining that with training costs = $$$$)

    thanks for any help :}

    I don't know how I could do both though.. or even if I would want to.. I just want to get settled into one career.
    some days I want to go into engineering, others aviation - I don't prefer one over the other and it's so frustrating, lol.

    and yeah, my mum suggested that I joined the air force if I wanted to become a pilot, but I don't think it's for me..

    I just don't think that I'd be willing to give my life for my country, call me selfish - if it came down to that.

    I guess, i'm just not sure, though, lol.

    and I guess that I don't really know that much about piloting and engineering... they just both really fascinate me, i've wanted to be a pilot since I was tiny - I just have a gut feeling that one of these is for me..

    we don't have GCSEs in the U.S..
    I really think that I need to worry about it though, my age may be decieving - seeing as in the U.S. we graduate when we're 18..

    BUT...
    I'm a year ahead of myself, I'm the youngest in the year, I got moved up... hopefully - i'll be graduating, early (i'm taking extra classes, 1 before school and 1 through lunch - i'm determined to get out early!), next year, at 16.., 2 years before i'm meant to, that's why i'm worrying, lol.
