Possibilities;

1. Too bad (like crap) to be shown on C4
2. C4 might be humilated of Big Brother, so move it to E4.
3. More better shows to go on C4
4. It suits more into E4 because it's entertainment.
5. Not many people watch BB, as they did a couple of years ago.
6. Those chefs are on C4, and it's more important as it's showing awareness about chickens.

That was some ossibilities to why.

And just get a freeview box?

It's an experiment to see if it does well on E4 I believe, aswell as the racism row last year causing it to be trialed on E4
Plus I guess it's also to introduce E4 to some people that have only done the digital switchover
