The internet isn't connected via one cable :S
Its connected by millions.
Its just about imposible to remove the internet

Any links? I found this but it doesn't say 3 months. It says at least a week... And it's not been totally cut-off, rather one cable cut and stuff re-routed.

The anchor will have gone threw the huge pipe that all the cables are connected in, it was a worry from the start of underwater internet and piping, now the question will be, why wasn't it buried deeper or buried at all?

Or reinforced so that anything like an anchor won't do this much damage. But I guess that's not a primary issue like burying it deeper.
Sky might of updated their news, that BBC article was last updated a few hours ago.
