Ipod Classic 6th gen problem.

Received it today but to my unfortunate, it hasn't been rested and i have no clue how to.

I did exactly what's meant to be done. (Hold down menu and the Circle button) until the white screen comes up with the apple trademark.

Once that's done it goes back to normal. I then went to settings and it shows someones name and displays that there is only 8.7GB free memory left on the ipod.

I go into settings and i go right down to reset settings where it says "This will reset all your settings, your synced content will not be modified.

I then click reset and the language drop down menu comes up - i click on English and everything is still the same. :S

Am i doing something wrong here?

Edit: Ah never mind. Just find out from support that i need itunes to wipe away everything.. sily me. :rolleyes:

Now the difficult task is getting itunes on a Linux based OS. :eusa_wall

What Linux distro are you using?

Try running it through Wine.

If all else fails, try Banshee
