    Default Battle Royale

I jsut watched it, one of the most twisted things i've seen.

A non-diciplined calss of around 40 chinese children have been placed on an island, as part to the BR programme. The BR program was set up in the new millenium to teach children some manners, Classes were picked at random every year through a lottery type procedure, and then that class will be contacted, and without knowing, be asked to go o na school trip. The school bus ends up being gassed, they wake up in a classroom, They then get told about all the things that happening, then watch an instructionla video on how to win. Each child has a collar aropund their neck, that will explod if tampered with, The kid stops and hides & if they go into a danger zone. They are then given a bag that contains some essentials. water, etc. and in that bag contains one weapon, and all bag are different. some guns, knives, some useless stuff, lidpots etc. And then they are thronw into the island 1 by 1 set out to hunt each other down, The winning kid being allowed to go free. Its a chinese film, i believe its brodcasted on Film4 late-nights. I downloaded it when my mum told me about it. Its REALLY good and worth watching, id give it a 10/10

If you've ever watched: Running Man & The condemned, and liked it. This is the film for you.

An instant classic when it was released eight years ago. A great example of extreme Asian cinema. You should check out Takashi Miike, a director, if you like the unique extremety of Asian cinematic violence and gore.

I recommend Odishon/Audition and Korishiya 1/Ichi The Killer.

They are involved [not so much whatshername] but it's quite a different storyline. I think the first is better, but the second is still definatly worth watching.

Whereas Battle Royale is truly an Asian epic, Battle Royale II is a complete mess of a film, tarnishing the reputation of the original.

It did receive quite a negative response, but I enjoyed it. :] But yeah, definitely not as good as the first.

As a hater of the genre of flim, I watched this last week, or this week when it was on Film4.

I had heared of it in the past as my dads asian mate is well into these films, he gave my dad BR I on DVD. I handt watched it, and when it had been on, i'd turned it off after the guy and gal jump off the rocks.

Although the other night I watched it and its really twisted.

Strange concept in the way it sorta comes across as a gameshow (Am i the only one who see's that aspect?) Like when the names come up "Number 7. CONGRATULATIONS! Your dead, heres your prize, A PEN! "

But yeah, wicked film. Strange though, the wiki says theres rumors of a remake.
