Thanks very much to Jordy for all his work, we quickly manged to get the site back within minutes the problem was a comprimised staff account which has now been removed from our system, we will be putting new security measures in to make sure this doesnt happen again.

All our pages have been checked and our system is completely safe and virus free We are sorry for any inconnevience to our users. Lukily the staff account taken over had limited capabilities and was only able to redirect the main page.

Once again thanks to Jordy for being so quick to rectify the problem!

Aha, well spotted. The whole problem was over within half-an-hour a so. Basically it was a new Site Manager who just implemented a META redirect code into the Homepage and various other pages, and banned myself. No other harm done. The new site manager has been dealt with appropriately and as you can see we got the site back running as usual very quickly. No important user data or powerful tools could be accessed by the Site Manager so it's all very safe.

YourHabbo has learnt from this minor breach of security and this has just helped to keep it even more secure.

Has that person been fired? Do you know if it was deliberate or if it was generally a silly mistake on his/her part?

The offending member of staff has been removed for our team and we believe it may have been deliberate, so as I said above we will just have to be even more secure in who we choose to give editing powers too. But we have learned from this and wont make this same mistake.
