Snakebites? I just got my first lip piercing yesterday. (First piercing in like 8yrs) I was wondering how long I would probs wait before getting the other side done.

Nah. Not really. They numb it a tad on the outside (just a little) and put some stuff in your mouth which numbs it quite alot. So its just like a little scratch for about 4seconds. The main problem is while you are getting use to it the little sheild on the other end of the bar (inside of your mouth to stop it falling out) gets caught in your teeth if you and careful and yanking that hurts a bit.

Sounds ok! Problem is they wouldn't be able to numb me up because of my asthma. I'm not sure how it would affect it though since I've been given numbing agents before but that's what they told me!

Ah. What they gave me screwed my mouth up lol. I couldn't speak properly and starter drooling haha XDDD it made me go all tingly I didn't like it. Tbh it dont hurt that bad anyway. My mate kieron got it done and all he had was ice on it and he got over it once the ball was on so yeah ;p

Yeah it was probably a local anasthetic like you get at the dentist, it's horrible !

You obviously got it done at a crap place, since it should never be numbed.

And I used to have snake bites, then I realised how **** they looked and took them out, so now I have horrid scars under my lip from them.
You won't want them forever, so there's no point in scarring your face over some stupid fad.
