    Default Cracking Bones

This isn't like breaking or shattering them This is like cracking your knuckles etc. I've been able to crack my knuckles since I started puberty, but just recently I've had to do it with my neck otherwise it aches a lot. I've already been to the doctors which they've said to try sleeping in another position and try not moving my neck as much etc. but it hasn't done anything, so they've just told me to take pain killers if it gets to much and try to refrain from cracking it unless it becomes unbearable. But over last the few days, its getting harder to crack it in my usually fashion.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions of way of cracking it (sounds a bit sick lol) or anyways you can think of to cure it. I've also tried massaging, but it didn't work too well and only made it crack louder after a couple days.

I crack my neck too. I basically lean my head over to one side and sort of force my head down - It feels really good lol. I do it like six or seven times a day. I also crack my back a lot by leaning over the backs of chairs at school, my computer chair at home, the stair banister and even the end of my bed.

As for techniques, try the "forcing your head down to one side", works a treat for me!

Can't doing that constantly cause arthritis? I don't know a cure I'm afraid but I swear my uncle got arthritis because he kept cracking his knuckles at a young age.
I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.

I thought it caused that too.
I hate it to be honest lol it makes me cringe and feel sick if my body does it like accidently. It kinda hurts too? :S
And my boyfriend does it all the time lol till I tell him off

I'd suggest some kinda of specialist massage like going to one.
    Is it called reflexology?
My mums friend runs her own bussiness doing all that lol private its actually not that expensive at all apparently.

A lot of people including doctors consider it a myth because only a minority of people who crack their knuckles actually suffer from arthritis. My grandfather on my dads side used to do it all the time, I thought it was disgusting when he did it (really loud), but he had done it since he was a child and never contracted it. But I guess it could relate to it at some point, but very little. Since after all its just releasing the liquid bubble created in between your knuckles which can be quite painful if your bones move far enough apart, also my doctors haven't said anything about it being dangerous so I guess they just don't know if it really does or not.

Anyways, I had a really big neck crack in school today and I've been alright since, so I guess I'll only need to crack it again tomorrow morning
