    Default Router Problem [Urgent]

Hello, i went out at the weekend and bought myself a new router which can be found at the link below. I plugged it all in, set it up using the installation software and when it goes to connect to the internet it says my provider information is incorrect. However when i double checked with my old router (the one im on now) all of the information was correct. Has anyone else had this problem with the Belkin F5D8231UK4 N1 MIMO Wireless Router?

If you could help me that would be excellent.

    Thanks alot,

    Matt.

You need to telephone your isp who will check your connection and
give you the right router settings I think.

    .
Yes but if was your first router then there would not have been a problem because there would be no router settings on the computer. You now have the old router settings on the computer with a new router. I had this problem with mine when I changed from belkin to netgear but I could be talking out of my bum with your situation

Im not sure on the firmware but try to reset the router to factory settings and re-setup your connection - if there is no option for that, on some belkin routers there is a pinhole reset on the back, or underneath, hold that down for 10 seconds. If its still not working see if you can access the connection log (again specific to some belkin routers).

If no Joy you can try to give belkin a call, they have an international freephone number, or you can take it back to pcworld as it could be faulty?
