    What would i have to do to put a boarder there through vB?

    All style options -> Page Background -> Extra CSS Attributes -> border: 1px solid #000000;

    Anyway when i apply that to the extra CSS attributes, it gives me a black outline well outside the actual forum table area.

    & try:

    border-left: 1px solid #000000
    border-right: 1px solid #000000

    Do as Hollywood said, you can also add a border to the bottom aswell.
    border-bottom: 1px solid 000000; or you could just add it on the footer.
