OK, so it's parents evening on Thursday right? And I sorta got an E in my science exams. Not because I haven't been revising or anything, it's just that I've had a lot of stuff going on with my family life, and I haven't been concentrating in school much. That E grade really kicked me up the *** though and I revise loads now. But she's seriously gonna flip when she finds out about it in parent's evening. What should I do?

    Hey there,

    1. Don't see your science teacher
    2. Tell your parents before you go
    3. If all else fails, talk to your science teacher and explain the situation to him/her - maybe, just maybe, you'll be understood.
Otherwise, you'll just have to cope with what's said, and done, about it.

But really, one E isn't much if you're doing okay in everything else. Also, you know you can do better - so make sure they know that. Make sure they know you'll revise better and concentrate more next time around.

    Good luck!

Except for the fact everything is made up of Physics, Chemistry or Biology, it is quite pointless =]

And yeah, it's only one grade. I got the odd U, but it doesn't mean you're destined to fail. Just say you'll work on it and pick it up and it should be fine.

Hey Kittyness, I think its best if you tell your mum you got an E in Sciance before going to parents evening. she may flip out of course but her anger will not last for a life time so its not the end of the world. Once she sleeps on it she will realise its good you can aproach her and tell her this kind of stuff to her and it shows your serious about your education. I think you should try concerntrate on your schooling rather than your home life problems and if any problems arise in the near future to do with your home life then I suggest you go to a friends house to study with them and/or take extra after school lessons to study. Keep us up to date!
