Exclamation IDEA: New VIP feature - infractions

    Hey,

I was thinking recently, maybe as a new VIP feature (or perhaps similar to the sub forum add on, buy VIP, then pay and extra), out expired infractions could be deleted?

Because when they expire or are reversed, they stay on your profile and it's really annoying. So maybe when you purchase VIP, you can post in the Reputation claim thread to ask for your reversed and expired infractions deleted. Or maybe, it could be £1 for 10 deleted or all deleted.

I think it's an awesome idea and think it would encourage many people to buy VIP just to clean up their profile of expired, reversed infractions.

    Thoughts?

    Nick.

I know but it would be nice as a little added VIP feature. Plus, even though they don't count, it's nice to have them off of your profile. :L

I don't think they can be deleted, or that's what I remember reading when infractions were introduced...

They can - about 10-12 months ago the administrators went through and deleted all expired/reversed ones to give everyone a fresh start and a clean profile... Because I had a reversed one for my signature.

We try to delete all infractions/warnings annually. We don't want to delete them as soon as they expire as it's useful to view a person's history when hiring him/her for staff etc.

They don't when it comes towards giving a ban but if you have like 6 or 7 pages of expired infractions then you won't most likely get hired so they do matter in a way .

All infractions from 2006 - 2007 were deleted in January 2008.

Infractions from 2005 - 2006 will likely still be on your profile, however as the previous FM didn't delete them in that year (and it takes ages to delete over 10,000 infractions, manually, one by one. Believe me.)
