    If it does screw up, all you got to do is press restore in iTunes. But myself and Cocaine have both used ZiPhone and have had no problems with it.

    How do you restore it when the iPod has a black screen with a bit of writing and iTunes isn't detecting it?

    Download a copy of the firmware, write it over the firmware that is on your ipod. Itunes should reconise it and it will go into disk mode, click restore and then it should be ok.

    Hold the on button, and the big home screen button at the bottom.
