Ok people keep going on about these "red light" things,

A) Where are they if they come on
B) *** do they mean?

I looked through the instructions and hardware book, i couldnt see anything about them so yeh

4 red rings means u have to send xbox of to microsoft because it is broken

4rings mean the xbox isn't detecting your AV cable or it's not plugged in correctly, so doesn't necessarily mean it's broken.

Mine got 1 flashing, then 3, then eventually 4.

Mine just bust completely, i think the motherboard melted.

And you obviously wont find stuff about it in the manual LOL, as if they'd say that the xbox's break in the booklet.

They appear if it overheats and something inside breaks.

My motherboard bent out of shape due to excessive usage one night. 3 Hours + no ventilation in a hot room - destroyed!

You can get 3 red rings just by holding in the buttons for a while on both your controller and Xbox to get them to connect, that’s if you have wireless controls.

no i had 4 red rings yesterday and it was just because the lead had came out

thats some times my white one got 4 red rings and its gone.
