    Default nVidia GeForce 8800GT

This may sound stupid but Im thinking of upgrading my Graphics Card a nVidia GeForce 8800GT to be precise. Do you need certain specs for this and would this be alright for things like COD 4 on PC. Another question is If you have this could you post some screenshots of some graphics....
    Thanks
    Jack

You'll need a PCI-E slot on your motherboard, and yes it will be fine for CoD 4.

It might be. Approximately how old is your computer?

Also, you will need a PSU with enough wattage and a PCI-E power connector to use your 8800gt.

PCI-E power connector :S I always thought the power goes through the PCI-E slot to the GFX card... Also wouldnt it just be a normal PSU power plug..

You also need a minimum of 1GB ram.

And the PCI-E slot cannot provide enough power by itself so extra power is needed.

It's not a normal molex plug, but graphics cards come with an adapter to convert a standard molex into a PCI-E plug. The PSU needs to be able to handle the power though.

A minimum of 450w PSU is recommended. Or it might be 400. Depends what other stuff your running.

But there's no point getting a super fast GPU if your CPU can't keep up. Even a Core 2 Duo E6400 isn't quick enough to supply it with a steady flow of information
