    Default Searching for a camera

I am looking for a camera because I have a trip to Morrocco coming up with my school and it'd be nice to be able to take pictures. I have been looking at this Sony camera, but it takes Memory Stick and it would be better if it took SD.

Here are my requirements - can anyone find me something good that costs about £70?:

    • Good battery life (preferably uses a proprietary rechargable battery or rechargable AAs)
    • Takes a 4GB+ SDHC card
    • 7+ megapixels
    • Optical viewfinder would be a plus
    • Should be made by a good brand eg. Samsung, Nikon, Sony
    • At least a 3x optical zoom

    Thanks,

    Tim

That looks quite good but it doesn't support SDHC. The battery life is also apparently bad. The Sony has what I want, it just uses Memory Sticks which are more expensive - it'd be nice if I could bring like 8GB of storage on my holidays!

http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/pro...DSC-T70-SILVER They seem pretty good for what you need and a couple I know have them and said the same. Should give it a look, seems to meet everything you need.

    - Peter.

EDIT - I managed to get some pictures taken used with the camera. They look good.

    Hope it helped...

Awesome stuff Matt, just ordered the top Samsung camera, it's a good deal and a good beginners camera too by the looks of things. Haven't had a new camera since I was 5 and I wanted one my for my French trip this year but I didn't have £100 to spend on one but at that price it's a good deal, bought a 4GB SD Card too

    Would +rep but can't
