I haven't posted anything about TehUpload here in the past bit, but I thought I might keep you updated, as Habbox Forum is the biggest referrer to the site as well as biggest user.

This may be a bunch of technical jarbal to you, but you can read through if you like.

File Size Upgrade

I have just now upgraded the filesize limit to be 10485760 bytes.. and in English.. that is 10MB. This should solve the problem of frozen applications when uploading massive screens.

File Hosting

Coming soon.. file hosting Just keep a lookout.

Fileservers & Caching

I have recently upgraded our file system, and added another server to the file servers, that way the files are going to be distributed equally among the file servers for faster loading.

Each fileserver is also in connection with the cache server, which is called before the fileserver, to speed up the service.

Image Magick

I have now installed ImageMagick on the server today, after a short maintenance break to speed up the service. The thumbnail images are now stored onsite, which allows for faster loading on the 'Latest Images' page, and all other pages that use thumbnails.

Status System

I have also installed a maintenance system that allows me to take the site and/or images offline, so that no confusion is made when maintenance is happening. That way no errors appear on the site.

Desktop Application

The desktop application is going to go through a few upgrades, with the addition of a 'Current Window' feature, which takes a screenshot of the current window open.

I may introduce hotkeys to take screenshots, but that is if I get time, I may introduce this in a later version.

Open a Month

We have now officially been open one month (today actually was the first day of service for this new system) and we are now hosting 1671 files on the system, with over 8,607 unique visitors.

I am currently working on a complete new desktop application.

If you use it, you see the "Upload File" screen allows you to upload one file at a time.

This new screen allows you to drag a whole bunch of files into an area, and it seperates them into a list.. which allows you to view them.. remove them.. then select the ones you want to upload

Here's the example I have worked up.

Should integrate a nice screenshot feature where when you press the screenshot button, asks you for confirmation of upload (shows screenshot, little yes/no) and either uploads your file automatically returning a URL or doesn't... I made an application like that as it was annoying always having to save the screenshot, then upload it.

That is what I am doing, the screenshot feature is already in the current version, it just doesn't include the Yes/No feature. Thanks for the idea
