The 2008 Volvo XC70 station wagon. It may be a station wagon, but the safety features on it are amazing. My mom’s boyfriend, Jason, has always had a Volvo station wagon, and his parents have always had one and still do. He had a 2001 XC70 that pretty much had the **** pounded out of it, so he decided to trade it in on a new one. The old XC was a TANK in snow, I felt safe in it in the winter, although I was just a passenger. I was just recently insured on it, and I loved driving it, although it's a suburban soccer mom car.

The new one has a system called "BLIS" (blind-spot information system) and there are 2 cameras mounted underneath the mirrors that can sense when there is a car along side of you that you can't see. The system even works at night!

Another new feature is a pre-collision warning system, it can sense when the car in front of you suddenly brakes and you become too close, it will alert you by a flashing light on the windshield and a beep so you can take action. It also "pre-charges" the brakes for a panic brake situation, helping you to stop faster helping to avoid the severity of a collision.

Jason said he isn't going to insure me on it because it's his like PRECUIOUS baby. ahhahaha, he'll loosen up eventually!
