Default I want to get rid of my accent

    Urgh, I'm trying so hard.

I've managed to change it somewhat, I sound like a bad mixture of British and American at the moment.
Ever since I started paying attention to how people speak my accent's changed, I can't wait to get rid of it... I hate the attention it brings on to me.

Anyway.. any tips for losing it?

which you trying to lose? The American bit or the English bit?

Just don't watch anything American/English accented for about a month. When I came back from Germany people kept telling me I had a strong German accent when I spoke. I had no idea at all. Two weeks later I was back to normal. I'm sure an American accent is harder to lose.
