    Default Question..

If it is against the rules to ask for your alts to be moved to Elites..

.. then isnt this sub-forum against the rules?

I mean, seriously.. what is the point of this forum? Anyone who posts in the MAIN alterations section would like their work to be moved to elites, I would imagine.

Can anyone clarify this point for me?

Yes, it is against the rules to ask for it to be moved to elites, but this is for people to vote if they want stuff in elites, kinda like a council.

But I am failing to see the purpose.

Isn't it redundant to have 2 threads for 1 piece of pixel art, expecially if one of the threads is merely for begging to be included in elites?

    You have a good point.

If you post here the alterations are more likely to be put on the site though. I look in this forum every week for new ones (when the gallery is up), but not as often in the normal alterations forums. If someone finds an alteration particularly impressive, they sometimes post other people's work to get it recognised, which is acceptable so long as they state it's not theirs. I might ask if they can change the forum name to just 'Nominate alts for Elites'.

Only people in the Pixel Artist Group see this forum so they should have an idea of what is good or not, providing they haven't just joined to have the userbar. Their opinions sway whether or not they get put on the site, along with personal opinions. There's many more opinions posted in the public alterations forums, and many more alterations in there. Having too many alterations will just clog up the gallery, so having this forum is a benefit as many good alterations are posted in the public forums.

I probably repeated everything there but I'm tired

    Suppose:rolleyes:
I think its against the rules if you constanlty write, "Make this elite please!!" etc.
Im not sure tbh, a piece of work in the normal sections cannot be immediatly moved to elites and if there for put in the nominations section to see what other people think, the nominate your alts for elites section is so people can basically vote if they think its "worthy" or not.

like i said, im not sure but thats what it looks like to be

Its can be moved immediately to the elites gallery if there are enough positive comments on it, but this forum is checked moe regularly than that one.

You are kind of missing my point.

If this forum wasn't around, you wouldnt look at this one more than the others, because that would be the ONLY forum, like it should be.

Besides, some of us are too humble to ever nominate ourselves for anything, it just seems like begging.

Its confusing to explain but short version of what i think, its to save threads being filled with people asking for elites.

So.. let me see if I understand..

The point of this sub-forum, which is merely a forum asking for your work to be considered for elites.. is to keep people from asking for their work to be considered for elites?
