Default Java is not my friend

Not the language or the island although I know nothing about them either, but yeah I need Java on my pc to run certain games and for some reason it just won't install. It's not my IE settings 'cause that's set to allow Java to run, but I don't actually have it and it always comes up with a message saying it's aborted and needs to be restarted when I try to get it. Have also tried downloading the offline installer and running that, but it simply does nothing lol.

Any help much appreciated :8 *Removed*

I had a similar problem, but mine was getting an up to date version rather than getting a version at all.

I went to add/remove programs and got rid of everything to do with jave. I then ran ccleaner on the registry and make it clean files. I think I also ran disk cleanup. Restarted, redownloaded and it worked.
