Smile What Anti-virus should I use?

    Hi

I’m not sure what anti-virus I should use. Currently I have 3 desktops and one laptop, in a workgroup network with a networked hard drive. I am currently using Norton 360 on two desktops and MacAfee on one desktop and the laptop. I am not happy with the protection that these packages are giving me so I have decided to purchase a new anti-virus. I am looking for something that’s not expensive, the licence can be used on 4 computers and three computers can be managed from one computer, for example the master computer can tell a client to start a scan, like Sophos. Does anyone have any suggestions on which Anti-Virus would do all of this?

    Thanks!

I'd recommend NOD32, it's very good and hasn't let me down, if you read any AV threads on here you'll see it's generally the best Anti-Virus.

It does fit your specification almost however you need to buy a license per computer, it costs a reasonable amount for 4 computers but it is seriously good. £62.99 for 1 year and £93.99 for 2 years. I'd get a trial first though to see what you think, but definitely change from the awful Norton 360.

It scans and updates it's self all the time your computer is on in the background, non pop-ups, it's all automatic and it's always scanning your computer. It doesn't have a feature to be able to control other computers over the network, but if they're all updating and scanning that shouldn't be a problem.

NOD32 gets updated about 10 times a day too.

Kaspersky is pretty much the best one out there.
