Forum Changes Coming Soon

Over the next few days and weeks we will be making several changes on the forum. Some overdue now and some newer changes.

Things from an admin point of view have been hectic lately due to many admins taking time off for holiday or running into technical problems.

Anyway, moving on to the good stuff..!

We will be introducing two new skins. One will be the new site skin which will be replacing the current site skin. The new site skin is very impressive and I am very happy with the work Joshuar has put into it and cannot wait till it's public. We will also be introducing a light skin for mobile users. This has been requested many times in the past and we feel it's time to invest some time in it so people can use Habbox forum on the go as well as at home on their PCs .

We will be introducing the support system very shortly as we have ironed out the problems we ran into. The support system will be a trial and error sort of thing as it is the first time we try anything like this and first time for any Habbo fansite to try.

We will be removing the blog addon as it has not been used and simply a waste of space in the nav area. If you have any blogs you want to save, please do take the time to save them.

We will be further promoting the chat as we feel this is something that can really bring members together even though it hasn't been a great success as of yet.

We are going to be making a few forum changes, merging forums together as we have quite a few forums that are simply not active enough to remain. We will be introducing an Olympics forum on Thursday just in time for the Olympics.

The spoiler rule will be removed and we will be making it optional to use spoiler tags. We will be introducing spoiler prefixes in the entertainment forums were appropriate so spoiler tags do not have to be used throughout the threads with many spoilers.

We will be introducing a new rank in the promotion system as many users have currently made it to the top of the ranks so it's time to give them a new challenge .

VVIP will be renamed to VIP+ as voted by the current VVIPs.

We will be paying particular attention to the arcade, updating it with new games and setting up some tournaments with prizes up for grabs.

We will be updating some forum descriptions and also fixing the user notes link displayed to users with infractions.

We will also be setting up a few polls to see what everyone thinks about certain things such as forum moderation.

The month of August is a very busy time not only for the forum but Habbox in general. We do not have specific dates on when these things will be implemented or carried out as there are many factors to consider but we hope to carry out most things if not all things on there before mid-September.

We've tidied up a couple things just to make things a little easier to navigate and clean up some loose ends!

• Foreign Languages merged into Education Forum
• Anything Else to Do With Education merged into Education Forum
• Articles Forum and Poetry Forum merged into Discuss Anything
• VIP Forum Rules has been merged with Buy VIP For a Friend to create VIP Rules and Information
• The TeenHelp Redirect Forum has been removed
• Beijing Olympics Forum will be added this Thursday

We will also be introducing forum awards to reward members who have contributed a lot on the forums.

Each category (there are 7 which we will be including - graphics on wards), the forum teams will pick one member who has contributed the most to the forum or was the most helpful.

We will also be awarding the top 3 users with the most referrals. Users caught cheating will be punished accordingly.

We will awards each user one month of Habbox VIP and the user with the most referrals will also receive 10 HC sofas.

Users who win consecutively will receive a "bonus" award.

Awards will be given out once a month.

We have removed the spoiler rule as the introduction of spoilers was not to be mandatory. Thus, all spoilers will now be voluntary but we ask you to respect your fellow forum members and spoiler advanced information or information about things that the majority have not seen. If you don't want something spoiled, don't look in a thread about it! You can use spoilers by highlighting the text and clicking the image or putting

[Spoiler]Text Here[/Spoiler]

around the text.

All infractions and warnings for spoilers will be reversed, report them in the Report Infractions thread and a Super Moderator will reverse them for you.

VVIP has finally gotten its long-awaited renaming to VIP+, we have updated the usergroup, subscription, and the Buy VIP page. Hope you all enjoy the new name!

We've made a few more forum changes!

• The HBB Forums have been removed, we may or may not see them next year depending on Habbo.
• Forum Feedback Polls was created
• We have created a Beijing Olympics Forum as a subcategory of Sports and Hobbies
