    Default Why isn't HxHD supported more?

    I'd first of all like to point out how this is feedback on the situation not a complaint and I'd like to know what others think.

    I never aired my views about this situation when I was HxHD manager as I thought moaning about it isn't the answer and just doing the best I could would hopefully help the department more. It annoys me how after all of the effort I put into HxHD (and not all of this is visible) and all of the money I spent on doing events to bring users in.. still the department seems to get little to no support from anyone except Jake (Immenseman) who at least makes the effort to come and visit.

    But the thing that annoyed me most of all, the thing that made me want to say something was this banner on Habbox.com


    I personally just think thats taking the piss and makes me wonder if anyone actually cares how the present manager feels about his job at HxHD. Surely if Habbox really appriciated the work people put into HxHD which lets face it is a department in trouble they'd ask everyone to vote 'HxHD' surely that'd have been a morale booster and would have encouraged them to be more active?

    I know at the end of the day it's only a Habbo room but I think the dudes in green fail to realise how hard it is to get people to come to HxHD and how much pressure it puts the manager under when all of the other departments seem to be performing so well. I just think maybe a little more support could go a long way.

    I agree with you, the Help Desk should be one of the main rooms to visit related to Habbox on Habbo. I think I suggested, aswell as a few others, the idea of combining the radio and the help desk together a bit, which sort of worked, but it seems to have died again :/

    HxHD died as soon as DJ-3000 quit.

    Habbox Trade is owned by ---MAD--- so maybe he is trying to promote his room :s
    I personally think habbox should scrap HxHD. I quit habbo 2 years ago, but when I was last on, Help Desks were extremely unpopular.
    Since DJ-3000 closed his, all help desks pretty much died, including Mystique!'s Habbo Help.
    No one needs them anymore as you have these Habbo Helpers or whoever - the people who come to newbie's rooms.

    I think HxHD Should stay, and I think that it is still going well. And I don't think the Welcome Party which you're talking about never really, took off.

    Help Desks aren't what they were two and three years ago, they have become slightly a thing of the past. There is so much more now, including this forum, where help can be obtained. Habbo's have it a lot easier than before, and that is just going to go on improving. A few weeks ago I visited the HxHD using a clone, I sat there for a good 5 minutes and no one spoke to me, in fact I made the effort to talk to someone who was sat close by, an ex hobba. A Habbo entered the room, and asked for help, I kept quiet for a bit and then asked if I could help. Turned out they were new to Habbo, and having spent nearly 45 minutes talking with them in another room, I discovered they had recently applied to work at Sulake, and just wanted some knowledge before attending a second interview.

    Habbox should seriously consider making HxHD more of a lounge with a help area, and with an adjoining room, which could be used for a variety of events, parties, and other such things. It should certainly be given better promotion and nothing less than any other department. It still has an important part to play

    That banner is terrible, was the made by a Habbox "Graphic designer"?

    I agree with mat that is a bit terrible that banner the, i would of put a roulette in the background ect.

    Last time 'room voting' was open we tried to advertise both rooms for people to vote them. This month we decided to concentrate on one which was the casino. I'm sure when they open again next month it will change again and we will solely concentrate on trying to get Habbox Help Desk on the 'popular rooms list'.

    I do agree with you that the Help Desk could be supported more, that's why we gave it a page on habbox.com etc. There are still more things that can be done and I'm sure there will be a banner created for it when the voting is over.

    I agree with you it's a very hard department to manage because it only works well if the room gets busy with people in. This is a department I want to work closely with to get it popular because I enjoy spending time there as some others do. I think it'd be a shame not to advertise it more because I know Help Desk staff work incredibly hard just to get the room busy.

    I agree that Help Desks aren't as used as they used to be. The Habbo X system and habbo getting simpler has seen to that. Not for one second though do I think it's a waste still keeping it. People do still use it daily for help and in most cases they receive the help they need.

    On the case of the Desk I do think the staff need to have more expertise on Habbo, this isn't targeted at anybody in particular but I think a lot of staff struggle to help people especially with the newer features i.e trax and what have you. A simple interview process where possible staff are asked a few questions can see to that. It will help build Habbox Help Desk if people know they can always go there for help and get the answer they're looking for.

    Also, when I was asked what we should try and get on the popular list this month Habbox Help Desk or the Casino, I picked the casino so that's my fault.

    Honestly, I think the Desk is more important than the Casino. I just saw this advertisement and to be frank, it upsets me that we don't promote a department focused specifically on one room.

    Perhaps making the desk part smaller and adding a bigger area for parties, then require DJs to have a certain amount of parties in the desk would help. Leah would always have DJ parties in the desk, and it maxed out the room a great deal.

    Indeed, I totally agree with you. This is why I believe we should begin requiring all candidates to take interviews, require that they answer ten Habbo related questions.

    We've been aware that Help Desks aren't as popular as they used to be, but back when they used to be, I cannot remember Habbox putting banners for us on Habbox.com. Though, as you did also say you saw a user that came in seeking support. There are still users that come on in need of support, but there are some staff members who are unable to help the users with their problems.
