    Exclamation PureWight.org - Explanation

    Hey.
I realised how unprofessional my attitude was on the last thread I made, so have decided to cleat a things up and hope you will all understand what I'm saying now...

Just to explain the situation to everyone...
DarrenToogood accused me of stealing his clients, being immature and copying his business. (Photography website, in title)

    I'd just like to say...
If you read the thread that the argument was in before, I explained... I did not slate, not try to copy, nor try to ruin Darren's business.
I wasn't the one emailing people, such as iow.co.uk (I got ads on and darren didnt), Darren then emailed them. How pathetic.
Also, I told him about another site wanting my images for events and such... He then assumed it was a site (not the one), and emailed them and made a huge fool of himself.
To be honest, I wasn't the one being arragont, it wasn't me that was the one saying... "Yeah my pics are better than yours etc etc"
Because.. I've only just started, of course some of my images are going to be crap. I'm still experimenting.
Also, so what if his camera is more expensive than mine? He's not the one getting the offers, i don't mean to be sounding like I'm bragging but the 2 sites have both come to me, asking to use them.
In my opinion, some of you may disagree but Darren has been jealous all along.
He seems to think that the names...
    BrightWightImages
    and
    PureWightPhotography
Are the same? & I was copying him?
& Yes, I admit, I got a position at the Steam Show and so did he...
It has nothing to do with him if I got a position or not?
All in all, I'm not blaming anyone.
I just don't see why DarrenToogood cannot leave me and Pure Wight Photography alone and get over the fact that yes, there will be competition. But he CANNOT use the ways and methods he has been to try and win over our target audience as he has been.
    It's petty and immature.
Yes, in the other thread I resorted to personal insults, mainly as nobody would give me the time of day.
    Anyway...
That's all I have to say and I want nothing more of the matter.
Oh, and the reporting of Darren to Flashden was nothing to do with me.
I was not bluffing when I said I have a legal copy, you really think I'd be that stupid?
& If I was using an illegal copy, I would not host it on my server.
If you missed the conversation in the other thread, Darren had emailed www.iow.co.uk, the website that came to me asking for my photography in trade of an ad being placed on their site, I then agreed to this and told darren. He then emailed them telling them a load of... & They, frankly told them that we have an agreement that they're happy with and that he was being very immature.

Feel free to tell me your thoughts, no flaming any other users or such please... Don't want this turning into another argument. Just want him to see, that he's being petty and that... business is business.

    Oh I forgot to say...
He lost the steam show event after he emailed them saying a load of... & Lost himself the position because of his immaturity.

    Thanks.
    It was very unprofessional.
I was just trying to make everyone see how immature darren was being, and in doing so, made myself look immature.

You make it sound like I am in the wrong. You have also lost the steam show position.

I did indeed email IOW, to see if they would like to look into using my services, which they have done. They liked the one image I showed them, and have requested more to compare with the quality PWP is offering. The higher quality images will get the position. This seems fair, and I was just supplying IOW.co.uk with another option to explore.

In my opinion, some of you may disagree but Darren has been jealous all along
I have nothing to be jealous of. If anything I am angry, because of your way about doing things and trying to get my custom.

Because.. I've only just started, of course some of my images are going to be crap. I'm still experimenting.
This bit always makes me laugh. If you are starting out, do not go for the big shows and the big clients to start with. At your level, you should be building up a portfolio of images, not working on behalf of people.

Competition is a free world indeed, however websites like IOW.co.uk had clearly not seen a better service offered, and it is their right to have that better service also offered to them. I did indeed get annoyed when you tried to steal my Steam Show client, because I started off offering the better service, however they also accepted you, a mistake on behalf of the steam show. I informed them of the quality, and they seemed to take it the wrong way - I believe this is because John also dropped them an email.

I have been speaking to my clients, and they have informed me that you will not be allowed to cover events that I am already official photographer for - this includes, but is not limited to my client, IOWCC.

I have noticed some lies within your advertisements on websites, such as IOW.co.uk. Stating you have been 'official photographers' for big events, such as Goodwood FoS, Skandia Cowes Week and London Motorshow, when infact you just attend these events like any other member of the public - not covering the event.

I think you are aiming too high to start with, trying to 'overtake' BWI. You have said and boasted a many of times how 'PWP is doing better than BWI already' - this is not the case. I do have a lot of competition on a day to day basis, and infact when I was official photographer for a client, there was a photographer there also shooting the same things - I was not worried as he had not stolen my client, made false rumours about me and nor was he trying to appeal to the same market as I am.

I just don't see why DarrenToogood cannot leave me and Pure Wight Photography alone and get over the fact that yes, there will be competition. But he CANNOT use the ways and methods he has been to try and win over our target audience as he has been.
You are not competition to me - your images are no way near the quality of mine, and the service you provide is not that of a professional one. If anything you are an annoying bug, following me. My overall advice is to stop trying to cover events - it does not work when you are starting out. Come back in around a years time, when you have mastered your current camera, upgraded your kit and have quality images to show - then you can start asking to cover events. You do seem to forget that I am a year ahead of you in the development of my photography, and this summer is my 'event startup' time, and you have come along and tried to push that aside.

I have a number of phone calls to make in the morning regarding status of events for BWI/PWP, and I will be able to confirm exactly what the status is of PWP at the events I am officially covering.

Some may see it as immature to email websites such as IOW.co.uk, however I am sure some people will see it as providing an alternative, higher quality service - I have a right to offer a better service to anyone, the same as a better photographer than me could offer his services. This time next year, when you are trying to cover events to build up experience, I will have recurring clients, therefore next year will be slightly different, in terms of you would be the photographer who is there for experience - I would be the photographer there for them.

This just shows how petty you are Darren..
    Get over it. Lmao.
I did not lose the steam show position, you seem to think I have.
IOW.co.uk told you that they wanted no contact with you and that they're happy with the service they're getting from me, and unless you wish to purchase a 12 month ad campaign, they're not willing to listen.
Josh covered Cowes Week officially and the others stated.

It's not up to you which events we cover?
It has nothing to do with you, what we do or where we do it?

"I do have a lot of competition on a day to day basis, and infact when I was official photographer for a client, there was a photographer there also shooting the same things - I was not worried as he had not stolen my client, made false rumours about me and nor was he trying to appeal to the same market as I am."
I haven't made any false rumours about you & we certainly are not attempting to appeal to the same market as you. Haha.

All in all Darren, you've just proved my point exactly...

They also told me this, BEFORE I got another email from them.

    'Josh covered Cowes Week officially'
This bit makes me laugh. Official photographers at Cowes Week were not teenage children - I can assure you. Josh may have said he was, however I was with the official photographers for 3 days, and they didn't look like Josh Harris? Maybe he is giving you a line like he did to me?

I suggest you stop covering events, focus more on a portfolio and THEN come back in a years time and do events. You can't run before walking.

You were with photographers that had photographer pass's that were paid for. My sister was covering security down there.
& What did this second email say then? Hahaha.

    Incorrect.

The photographers I was with were PAID by Skandia Cowes Week to cover the event, not the other way around?

I am not revealing the contents of the second email, until I have a response from my reply.
