If my school have them, they must be crap.

As an audiophile I'd say they're sub-par; I've heard the main speakers have a poor output and I certainly wouldn't use them to listen to music on. They'd be fine for games and such though.
Enjoy your quiet speakers6 watts RMS per channel (2 channels), 17 watts RMS Subwoofer. Total: 29 watts
