    Default Sleeping.

Hi, recently I've been sleeping on average around 12 hours a day during the holidays - 1 day I even slept for 15 hours! I don't really feel tired when I go to bed but I don't wake up till early afternoon. Also there have been a few days where I have tried to get to sleep but couldn't and ended up laying awake all night. I haven't really been using much energy recently so that could be why, but I'm not really sure.

Any suggestion why this could be happening?

Your diet and exercise could be a major factor.

I usually sleep till 12-1 pm, but then I don't to sleep till 2-3 am But, I only sleep properly for 7-8 hours, because I get really hot. As has been said, diet could be a factor or maybe the heat could be causing you to sleep longer.

Don't they say "the more you sleep, the more you will sleep", or something like that.

I sometimes sleep for ages, sometimes I don't, but I'm not really bothered because I don't have to go to school or anything. You said you don't feel tired, so try setting an alarm to get up earlier.

What the hell? Are you mentally ******ed?

Anyway back to the topic, the main reason could be, as you suggested, not using all of your energy.

I suggest go running or do something active !

No, I'm not. I heard it on GMTV or the news ages ago.

Erm... I have very weird sleeping patterns... let me give you an example from recently:

    Before i went on holiday:
    Sleep: 6-8am
    Awaken: 12-1pm

    On Holiday:
    Sleep: 12-1am
    Awaken: 8-9am

    After Holiday:
    Sleep: 10-11pm
    Awaken: 1-2pm

    Now:
    Sleep: 3-4am
    Awaken: 9-10am

Right... basically my sleeping pattern changes to some really weird times and i've figured out it's to do with my mental state...

If i'm stressed out: i sleep later and wake up later.
If i'm with people and happy: I sleep later and wake up earlier
If i'm with people and not so happy: I hardly sleep atall - maybe 2hours a night
If i'm happy: I usually sleep around 2-3am and wake up late morning

Now i've been all of these states for over 2weeks... and for each one... I don't feel any tiered the the last... even when I'm on my 14th day of sleeping 1-2hours a night I still feel really awake.

Have you had any change in mental-stability recently?
Apparently I am not allowed to advertise my site any longer. T_T

If you try setting an alarm for a certain time every day, and going to bed at a certain time every night. Your body will get used to the routine and start doing it automatically
