    Default Forgot Vista password? [+REP]

Hi, does anyone know any ways to recover a forgot Windows Vista pass? It's the Admin pass and it's the only admin account.

    Thanks.

Is your account the only one?

Well, try and find your Vista CD to reboot it - you'll lose all your files though. But at least you will be able to get onto your Vista.

At the password screen, press CTRL+ALT+DEL.

Enter "Administrator" in the username and leave the password field blank.

This won't work if your user account is the only one on the computer. There needs to be an admin account accessable or else there's no other accounts that will let you change/ remove the password.

I prefer to do this in safe mode.

    Hope this helps.

unfortunitly, the vista admin account is usally desabled by default, the only way to get your account back, is to use crackers. i made this thread about 2 months or so ago

The name of the two crackers are

    Ophcrack
    Active @ password,

Ophcrack is free, you have to pay for active.

    Hope this helps buddy,

Boot the computer up in safe mode and there will be another user account called 'Administrator' Log on as this then...

Start > Control Panel > User account > [Your account username]

    then press remove password

As i said in my previous post, Administrator account is disabled by default. which means you have no access to it, untill you unlock it via cmd on an administrative account
