+REP a Private Message

Hey,

I think this would be a great idea. I came to the situation today where a user pointed out a design issue on my website and so I wanted to +REP them for pointing this out to me. But then you have to go searching the forums for a users post, wouldn't it be much easier to be able to +REP a PM

Nice idea, but I'm not sure if this is possible? I also would reccommend a "Report this PM" button.

doubt it'd go into place because of pointless repping
whoever sorts out rep would need the right to go through pms, which would cause an uproar.

Good thought, this means that the REP remover would have to view the private message if its a -REP. They wouldn't be "Private" messages anymore!

exxxxxxxactly, people would hate that
as far as i'm aware no one has the right to go through pms on the forum unless they have reason to.
but it can be done through databases or some **** which i dont understand
i'm not sure

But if you were to only allow +REP on PM's
