    Default "trolling"

I think the trolling rule should be changed as users and some moderators seem to understand it to be for general arguments.

"One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument"

I think the fact they have called it trolling is confusing a lot of people. would it not be simpler to change it to "Posting to cause an argument"

I'm not sure why you labelled it as trolling in the first place because not everyone seems to know what it means.

Oh in that way, nonetheless I agree "troll isn't exactly the best definition"

So if I've got this straight, you're requesting the offence be renamed from "trolling" to "posting to cause arguments"?

It was called trolling in the first place for the same reason that reviving an old thread is called bumping; its just an internet term.

Only problem I have is that I think arguments should be allowed lol. If this is a community we should be allowed to act as such - people do not always like their neighbours init

Yeah I totally agree and I'm sure everyone else does, it's just this is a teen forum an argument/disagreement very swiftly turns to personal attacks and name calling on this forum. The majority of arguments on this forum are ended by stupidity or pointless posting.

If we could learn to debate properly then I'm sure they wouldn't close threads but there's always going to be immature people around and some people look for arguments instead of genuinely disagreeing with someone.

No, i think the point is that some mods dont seem to understand what the term means themselves and are deleting posts needlessly.
We are unable to debate anything, we are unable to have any fun.
My sense of humour, like some others is being deleted by some power mad 12 year old!
