Is a hippopotamus a hippopotamus or just a really cool opotamous?
It was unique in that we had two world wars, the spanish flu pandemic and quite a lot more that killed millions.
Then the advancement of travel and information sharing brought the world closer together like no other century.
Those will have contributed and there's nothing on that scale in history before (except the great plague and discovering the New World).
Thanks, but maybe I didn't explain well enough.
The question is reffering to how the population was always below 2 billion until around the 1900's where it suddenly grew to around the 6 billion mark by 2000. Therefore it is asking whether or not it will grow so rapidly again in the future.
