    Default Decent movie editor?

I need a program that will allow me to split movie files into smaller chunks which can be watched separately and also allow me to join together other .wmv files and then save it as one big movie.

    Anyone know any programs?

Sony Vegas is so complex and has so many features it's amazing. You can do some really proper editing with it, I really recommend it - You can add loads of effects on text and strokes and everything it's amazing.

It's not actually that complex, it's very straight forward with an easy learning curve. While being powerful.

Exactly Do you think it's what professional movie editors use? It's so good.
